A 20-year-old male student reported a shirt stolen between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6 and 10 a.m. Oct. 7, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student took the shirt into the basement of West McDonel Hall along with the rest of his laundry to wash it, McGlothian-Taylor said.
He left the shirt unattended in one of the washing machines in the West McDonel laundry room, and when he returned, it was gone.
The shirt is a white Lacoste T-shirt with a blue alligator on the front and was valued at $50. The shirt is 100 percent cotton.
There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
