A 20-year-old male student was involved in a bicycle accident in front of Conrad Hall on Oct. 4, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
As the student was traveling east down Wilson Road on his way to Conrad Hall when his sweatshirt, which was tied around his waist, became tangled in his rear tire and chain of his Mongoose mountain bike, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The entanglement caused the bike to abruptly stop, which in turn caused the student crash into the pavement.
Paramedics from the East Lansing Fire Department responded to and transported the student to Sparrow Hospital to be treated for various injuries.
“When you fall, you fall,” McGlothian-Taylor said.
