Bike allegedly stolen outside cafeteria

A 19-year-old female student reported her bike stolen between noon Aug. 28 and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 29, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The bike is a red, 21-speed, Giant-brand Boulder bicycle valued at $100, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The allegedly stolen bicycle last was seen locked to the bike racks outside Brody Square.

The cable lock was through the bike’s tire and frame. The lock, valued at $8, allegedly was stolen as well.

There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
