East Lansing police arrested two individuals at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday on the corner of Grand River and M.A.C. avenues, East Lansing police Capt. Kim Johnson said.
After pulling over an unidentified car, the responding officers arrested a 25-year-old Lansing man sitting in the front passenger seat for an outstanding warrant from Eaton County, Mich., for retail fraud, Johnson said.
The officers wrestled the man to the ground after he resisted arrest. One officer took out his Taser and threatened to use it if the man did not cooperate.
After that, the man cooperated, Johnson said.
The driver of the car, a 21-year-old Lansing female, was arrested for disorderly conduct after intervening in the arrest of the man.
