Boy taken to Sparrow after rocky injury

A 10-year-old boy from Haslett severely injured his finger on a floating rock display at about 1 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Horticulture Demonstration Gardens, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The boy was on a field trip when he injured his finger, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The wound was not life threatening.

East Lansing Fire Department paramedics transported him to Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital for treatment.
