University employee cited for wreckless driving

August 2, 2011

A 63-year-old male university employee allegedly was driving recklessly on the loop outside Old Horticulture Building July 21 at about 8:30 a.m. as students were being dropped off for a summer camp, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

A 34-year-old male from Holt, Mich., who was working at the camp noticed the suspect was driving too fast in the area, which was congested with campers, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The camp employee was concerned the suspect would hit someone and called police.

No one was injured.

The incident is under investigation.
