A 19-year-old male reported a cell phone and money stolen between 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 13 from IM Sports-West, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The male was an international guest with the university staying in Mason Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.
He left his cell phone and wallet unattended on a bench in the second floor basketball court of the building.
When he returned, his cell phone and $10 were missing.
The white iPhone 4 is valued at $600.
Several other people were at the basketball court when the thefts allegedly occurred, but there are no suspects.
The incident is under investigation.
