Two boys from Midland, Mich., reported more than $850 worth of items stolen from them between about 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. July 18 in West Holmes Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The boys, ages 16 and 15, were staying at MSU for a camp when they noticed items missing.
The 16-year-old boy forgot to lock his door and found an Apple iPod Touch and a digital camera were missing.
The black, 8 GB iPod was valued at $150, and the silver digital camera was valued at $300.
The 15-year-old boy checked his belongings after his suitemate noticed the alleged theft and found a $400 blue Netbook laptop and his wallet were missing.
The wallet contained various gift cards and an instructional driving permit.
