A 25-year-old male student reported his bicycle stolen from a rack in near Holden Hall between 6:30 June 8 and 4:30 June 13, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student reported the larceny to MSU police on June 15, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The bicycle is a black, 21-speed Diamondback Outlook valued at $120.
The bicycle allegedly was locked with a cable lock, valued at $15, to the rack in Lot 83.
On June 14, the bicycle was found in a dumpster on the 1500 block of Spartan Village Apartments by an MSU police officer.
The officer tried to contact the student to see if he threw the bicycle away, but has not yet heard back from him.
The incident is under investigation.
