Students’ motorcycle knocked over

April 18, 2011

A 21-year-old student reported someone allegedly pushed his motorcycle over, causing the crank case to break, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The motorcycle was parked between noon and 2 p.m. April 14 in the southwest corner of the basement of Ramp 6 near Grand River Avenue, McGlothian-Taylor said.

When the student returned he found the bike on its side in a pool of oil on the ground. The oil came from the broken crank case.

The Office of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Safety was called to clean the oil spill.

The motorcycle is a green and gray Kowasaki, and the case is valued at $100.

There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
