Side-view mirrors damaged at Akers

April 4, 2011

A 22-year-old man reported an alleged malicious destruction of property toward his car April 2 while it was parked on Akers Road, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The car is a 1998 green, two-door, Pontiac Grand Prix and when the man went out to it he found both side-view mirrors smashed and laying on the sidewalk and one of his front headlights appeared to have been kicked in, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The estimated repair costs were $160.

There are no suspects at this time, and the incident is under investigation.
