MSU employee reports fan stolen

April 3, 2011

A 34-year-old MSU employee reported an alleged theft of university property between 2-7 a.m. March 20 from the Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The employee said a 2-foot, circular, high-velocity Air King carpet fan was taken from the Pavilion following a home and garden show, which was held March 17-20, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The fan belongs to the Physical Plant and was being used to dry a wet area of carpet. Several companies were at the show and were cleaning out their venues, and the employee said it was possible someone grabbed the fan accidentally. The fan is black and valued at $10.
