March 30, 2011

A 20-year-old male student reported his bike allegedly was stolen from the bike storage room in his dormitory, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The student left his bike in the bike room on the sixth floor of Holden Hall at 7:30 p.m. March 24 and when he returned at 8:30 a.m. March 25 the bike was gone, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The student did not secure the bike, but he made sure the door was closed and locked when he left.
The bike was a 21-speed, blue, MountainSmith Altitude with disk breaks and was valued at $700. The bike is registered with MSU police.

There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
