Car accident occurs on Jolly Road

A three-car accident occurred at 6:50 p.m. Feb. 26 on Jolly Road near the entrance to the Demmer Shooting Sports Education and Training Center parking lot, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The driver at fault was a 22-year-old female from Lansing who was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, McGlothian-Taylor said. No one was injured.

The other two cars were stopped on Jolly Road waiting to turn into the parking lot. The woman attempted to stop but could not brake in time. She hit the rear end of a Pontiac Grand Prix causing it to crash into a Honda Civic.

The Impala suffered damage to the front bumper and broken headlight, totalling $400 in damage. The Grand Prix’s rear bumper was cracked and the estimated cost of repair is $200. The paint on the rear bumper of the Civic was scratched and the estimated cost of repair is $100.
