An 18-year-old female student reported her jacket allegedly was stolen between 1:30-2:45 p.m. Feb. 11 from her room in South Hubbard Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The jacket was fleece, made by The North Face and valued at $180, McGlothian-Taylor said.
After the victim reported the incident, an officer from MSU police interviewed a suspect — also an 18-year-old female student — asking about the whereabouts of the jacket.
The suspect denied any involvement with the missing jacket at first, but after talking to the officer more extensively, she admitted she had the jacket and returned it to the victim.
The victim is not pressing charges.
