Multiple alleged larcenies reported

A series of alleged larcenies and malicious destructions of property occurred in East Neighborhood between Jan. 12 at 12 p.m. and Jan. 30 at 8 a.m., MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

A university employee reported Jan. 12 that a 28 inch-by-28 inch wall picture was taken from the main floor of Holmes Hall and another one was taken Jan. 15. The two pictures had a combined value of $250 .

A black and silver room sign valued at $600 also was stolen, as was a green and gold Lyman Briggs School sign valued at $1000 .

Also, on Jan. 23 a carpet in Holmes Hall was burned with damages totaling $300.

There are no suspects and the event is under investigations. The MSU police department urges anyone with information to call.
