College is a whole new world for many freshmen traveling campus for the first time. The State News sat down with one of these explorers to get a glimpse, in 15 questions or fewer, at a new face on campus and his perspective of his new frontier.
MEET ANDREW BENNETT
1. If you could have a tea party with three famous people, who would you invite?
Thomas Jefferson, (Albert) Einstein and Winston Churchill.
2. If you could gain one talent, what would it be?
Photographic memory would be pretty cool.
3. Would you rather have one arm or one leg?
Probably one leg.
4. Describe yourself in five words.
Smart, lazy, fun, independent and driven.
5. Who’s your favorite fictional character?
Holden Caulfield from “Catcher in the Rye.”
6. If you could be fluent in another language, which language would you choose?
Definitely Chinese.
7. What’s the top song played on your iPod?
“Gimme Shelter” by the Rolling Stones.
8. If you could be any animal, what would you be?
Cheetah.
9. If you could choose, how would you die?
Getting shot into space … or actually burning up in re-entry so I was able to go to space.
10. What’s your favorite historical event?
Probably the Civil War.
11. If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would it be?
Twenty.
12. If you could try one thing and have no repercussions, what would you do?
I’d rob a bank — a big bank.
13. What is the most attractive quality in a person of your preferred romantic partner?
Intelligence — being able to carry on an intelligent conversation.
14. What’s your favorite thing to do while procrastinating?
Probably watch TV.
15. Who’s one person you never want to meet?
(William) Shakespeare — I hate his poetry. I don’t like poetry in general.
