Office evacuated because of threat

September 15, 2010

The Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office was evacuated Wednesday after an anonymous man called in a bomb threat, Lansing police spokesman Lt. Noel Garcia said.

A dispatcher received a call from an adult male at 1:37 p.m., and workers evacuated the building as a precautionary measure at about 2 p.m. Four canine officers searched the building, 303 W. Kalamazoo St., in Lansing, for traces of bomb material, but did not find any. Officers gave the all clear sometime between 4:30 and 5 p.m.

Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III could not be reached for comment on Wednesday.
