MSU College Democrats held a watch party at 7 p.m. yesterday in Case Hall for President Barack Obama’s youth rally.
The College Democrats were contacted by Organizing for America volunteers to hold a social event for students to watch the event, said Joe Duffy, a social relations and policy junior and president of the MSU College Democrats.
Kelly Bernero, statewide Campus and Youth Coordinator for the Democratic Party and daughter of gubernatorial candidate Virg Bernero, said events such as the watch party for the rally are important to increase voter education.
