A 53-year-old male MSU employee reported an oil spill on Service Road on Friday morning, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The man was operating an MSU recycling truck, and as he was driving the vehicle, the hydraulics failed, McGlothian-Taylor said. The failure caused about 40 gallons of oil to gush from the truck’s engine. The MSU Office of Radiation, Chemical & Biological Safety was called to clean up the spilled oil.
There was no damage to the surrounding environment, nor was any person injured in the incident.
