MSU parking meter found upturned

A 22-year-old male from Midland, Mich., reported damage to a parking meter outside East Akers Hall Tuesday evening, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The man noticed one of the parking meters was knocked to the ground and immediately contacted police, McGlothian-Taylor said. The money box was still attached to the badly damaged meter, and none of the money held within was taken.

Damage to the meter is estimated at $250.

There are no suspects and the incident is under investigation.
