Over $300 robbed from parked cars

Two vehicles were robbed between 6 and 10 p.m. on Jan. 8 at Ramp 4, near the Kellogg Center, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

A 56-year-old Perry, Mich. woman reported a purse with $300 in cash and various identification stolen from her 1994 Chrystler Concord. A 39-year-old Owosso, Mich. woman reported a purse with $28 in cash with various identification and a checkbook estimated at $15 stolen from her 2005 Buick Rendezvous. A passenger in the car, a 40-year-old St. Johns, Mich. woman, reported a lunchbox worth $5 stolen.

The women said their belongings were in the trunk of their cars, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The incident still is under investigation.
