Taxi cabs now will be parked on M.A.C. Avenue starting today.
The move is based on a recommendation from the East Lansing Taxi Taskforce regarding how to reduce congestion on Albert Avenue, where taxi cab stands used to be. Concern arose earlier this fall regarding the number of taxi cabs on Albert Avenue. A taxi cab moratorium was placed stopping all new license requests for cabs, which ends Nov. 25.
