Fall commencement speakers confirmed

Three commencement speakers will send December graduates on their way.

Nancy G. Brinker will speak at the 2 p.m. Dec. 12 commencement ceremony. Brinker, founder of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will address undergraduates from the colleges of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Engineering, Communication Arts and Sciences, Nursing and Natural Science, as well as from the Lyman Briggs College. Graduates from the advanced degree commencement ceremony on Dec. 11 will hear Robert Tjian speak. Tjian is the president of Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, Md.

Edward Minskoff will speak at the 10 a.m. Dec. 12 ceremony. Minskoff will address the graduating classes from the colleges of Arts and Letters, Social Science, Music and Education, in addition to the Eli Broad College of Business and James Madison College. Minskoff is president of the New York-based Edward J. Minskoff Equities Inc.
