Drivers should avoid eastbound I-496 between Creyts Road and Waverly Road today. There will be a single lane closure for concrete repairs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Closures on that portion of eastbound I-496 will resume at 8:30 a.m. Friday and remain closed until 5 p.m. Sunday.
Drivers also should be aware that nighttime single lane closures will continue along US-127 between I-96 and Trowbridge Road for pavement resurfacing. Closures occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m and the work should be completed next week, according to a Michigan Department of Transportation press release.
