Spooky scarecrows are wanted, as the Potter Park Zoological Society is inviting members of the public to create animal-themed scarecrows for its first Scarecrow Alley Contest.
Interested participants can enter the contest as teams or individuals and have the chance to have their scarecrow displayed at Potter Park Zoo, 1301 S. Pennsylvania Ave., in Lansing.
Entry forms must be submitted by Thursday, and only 40 will be accepted. Scarecrows must be delivered between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m Friday, or before 2 p.m. Saturday.
Submission guidelines can be found on the zoo’s Web site, www.potterparkzoo.org, or by calling (517) 342-2710.
