The student left his backpack near a copy machine in the copy center between 10:55 and 11 p.m.

The backpack contained a MacBook Pro laptop valued at $500, an iPod Touch valued at $100, a $200 necklace with a Star of David pendant and a $10 calculator, McGlothian-Taylor said. The backpack itself was valued at $50.
