The student left the purse on a table in her Morrill Hall office. When she returned from a meeting in the graduate lounge, the purse was gone, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student encountered an unknown male sitting in her office earlier Tuesday. She told police she believed the male is responsible for the theft.
The suspect is described as a black male with a scruffy beard, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and 200 to 220 pounds, wearing gray sweatpants, a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a black drawstring backpack.
