Visitor steals camera, cash from MSU student
An 18-year-old Hudsonville, Mich., man who was visiting friends at MSU admitted to stealing a digital camera and $15 in cash from a 19-year-old female student on Sunday in Snyder Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student reported her $400 digital camera stolen Sunday. The suspect argued with a group of people earlier in Snyder before leaving the scene with the camera and cash. He was apprehended and admitted to taking the camera and money, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The suspect said he threw the items somewhere outside of the hall. Neither the camera or money have been recovered. Officers have submitted the case to the Ingham County prosecutor for review.
