An 18-year-old female student was the victim of assault on Jan. 26 in the garden behind Student Services, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The assault happened around 9:30 p.m. as the student walked from Wells Hall to Student Services.
The student approached the suspect for directions, and after the two began to walk north on East Circle Drive, the suspect engaged the victim in conversation that made the student feel uncomfortable.
The suspect then blocked the student’s path and asked for a kiss while grabbing her right arm and pulling her toward him. The student broke free, ran from the area and escaped uninjured, McGlothian-Taylor said.
