Man robbed of Coach wallet on campus Sunday

A 28-year-old man was robbed while returning to his vehicle Sunday afternoon between Berkey Hall and Olin Health Center, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The victim, who is not affiliated with the university, was walking south to his vehicle near Giltner Hall, when the suspect approached him. The suspect grabbed the man’s wallet out of his right back pocket, then ran.

The $75 Coach wallet was recovered later Sunday with $6 in cash missing. The suspect made $300 worth of charges on the man’s credit cards before dropping the wallet, McGlothian-Taylor said.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is encouraged to call MSU police at (517) 355-2221.
