A pickpocket walked away with a 38-year-old man’s Blackberry Curve outside of Biggby Coffee in the Union Sunday afternoon, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The victim, who has no affiliation with the university, walked toward the building talking on the phone and put the phone in his pocket. A “college-aged” male bumped into the victim as he walked inside, where he later realized his phone, worth an estimated $500, was gone, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The thief was described as a 6-foot-1 male with dark hair and a scruffy beard and was wearing a dark coat. The incident is still under investigation, McGlothian-Taylor said.
