Artists wishing to participate in the 2009 East Lansing Art Festival have until January 31 to apply for an exhibit.
The festival, approaching 46 years of aesthetic display, features not only art exhibits, but two stages for performances, a children’s activities area, and an international food court to an estimated 70,000 spectators.
“It’s a way for artists who are just starting out to have an exposure to a wide (audience),” said Corinn VanWyck, art festival coordinator.
Artists that want to apply for exhibitions can do so online at www.zapplication.org or by mail. Mail applicants must e-mail mcarlson@cityofeastlansing.com for more information.
The festival will run on May 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on May 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
