Barack Obama could be a great president, but I do not think his plan on redistributing wealth is what this nation needs.
It looks good on paper: Tax the wealthy more to provide the less-wealthy with money to spend, and in turn, end up putting money back into the economy.
But this concept of redistributing the wealth draws similarities with socialism and communism.
If I am working hard for my company, do I want the government taking my money and reallocating it to whomever they think deserves it more? There won’t be any incentives for people to go out and innovate, create a business and create jobs in the market. Where is the drive to go start a company if 40 percent of profits go to someone else?
America is the land of equal opportunity — not the land of equal wealth. We should not let Obama’s plan of distributing the wealth take hold and jeopardize our capitalist nation.
