Groups will host Red Cedar cleanup

October 7, 2008

Students and East Lansing residents are encouraged to help the environment by participating in the Red Cedar River Cleanup.

The cleanup will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 25. Volunteers will be organized into groups, each of which will be assigned a clean-up zone along the river.

Waders, canoes, rakes, trash bags and rubber gloves will be provided to participants.

The event is being sponsored by the MSU Fisheries and Wildlife Club, RISE program, MSU Grounds Maintenance Department and the MSU-WATER initiative.

Volunteers should sign in at the Canoe Livery near Bessey Hall when they arrive.
