A 19-year-old former landscape architecture sophomore was sentenced Monday to seven days in the Ingham County Jail for participating in April’s Cedar Fest riot.
Jaclyn Doroshewitz, who pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor offenses of minor in possession and malicious destruction of property, was sentenced by East Lansing 54-B District Court Judge David L. Jordon.
Doroshewitz also is required to serve 24 months of probation and complete 80 hours of community service.
She must pay $2,214.40 in total fines and costs. Of the fines, $1,074.40 is restitution to the city of East Lansing for police expenses, emergency services and property damage that occurred during the Cedar Fest riot.
The court also issued an order prohibiting Doroshewitz from enrolling or entering any Michigan public community college or university until Dec. 19.
