Secchia Center continues progress

August 24, 2008

Set to open in July 2010, the Secchia Center, MSU’s College of Human Medicine campus in Grand Rapids, is taking form.

It will serve as the college’s main location in the western part of the state.

The 180,000-square-foot facility will have laboratories, classrooms and student and staff areas. One hundred first-year medical students will make up the campus’ inaugural class.

Bob Nestle, a university engineer at the Physical Plant, said the structural steel frame of the facility is erected and concrete floors are being poured into the frame.
