Man jailed after arguing with, pushing ex-girlfriend

Police responded to a domestic assault call Saturday at West McDonel Hall between 3:30 and 3:50 a.m., MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The victim, a 20-year-old female student, went to a party to pick up her friends when her ex-boyfriend, a 23-year-old student, got into the car, McGlothian-Taylor said.
When they returned to campus, the two got out of the car in front of West McDonel Hall and began to argue, McGlothian-Taylor said.
Witnesses then watched the man push the victim to the ground and authorities were called.
Police responded and the suspect was transported to Ingham County Jail, McGlothian-Taylor said. The victim did not have any visible injuries. The report has been sent to the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
