A woman’s purse was stolen from a 2008 Jeep Cherokee parked on E. Brody Road on July 26 between 1:30 and 5 p.m., MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The victim, a 54-year-old Livonia man with no university affiliation, reported the front passenger seat window was broken when he returned to the vehicle.
The purse, which contained a checkbook, wallet, $30 in cash and a Verizon Chocolate cell phone, was on the floor of the passenger seat, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The window appeared to be broken by an unknown tool and the front passenger side door to the vehicle will not close properly, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The suspect is unknown.
