MSU head coach Rick Comley announced the Spartans hockey schedule for the 2008-09 season on Wednesday.
The Spartans will face stiff competition, playing 13 games against six teams that made the 2008 NCAA Tournament.
Icers to face early challenges in '08
MSU opens the regular season with games against Boston and Massachusetts in the Ice Breaker Tournament before traveling back to MSU, where the team will play five straight games at home.
MSU will open CCHA play Oct. 24 against Northern Michigan, and play their first of four regular season games against Michigan on Dec. 5.
