A 56-year-old female victim with no university affiliation reported her purse stolen from her parked vehicle on Friday at the Alumni Memorial Chapel, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The larceny, reported between 6:45 and 7:20 p.m., resulted in a loss of various forms of identification and a cell phone, as well as $300 worth of cash, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The vehicle was locked, but the front passenger window was smashed in. The purse was found with all contents but the money under the Bogue Street bridge, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The suspect is unknown.
