Items valued at $2,500 stolen from Akers Hall
About $2,500 worth of electronics, money and personal belongings were stolen from a West Akers Hall dorm room sometime between 4 and 7 a.m. Saturday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. Three victims, a 19-year-old male student, an 18-year-old female student, and a 19-year-old female with no MSU affiliation, were asleep in the room with the door closed when the reported theft took place, McGlothian-Taylor said. Among the items stolen were a Dell XPS laptop, an Apple iPod Touch music player, two digital cameras and $200 in cash, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects and the case is still under investigation.
