Man sentenced in summer shooting

The man who pleaded guilty last month to charges stemming from a July shooting at Carriage Hill East Apartments was sentenced to up to 30 years in prison Wednesday.

St. Louis, Mich., resident Daniel Lockhart, 21, pleaded guilty to felony firearm and assault with intent to murder charges. A charge of home invasion was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Lockhart received the maximum sentence of two years in prison for the felony firearm charge and 19 to 30 years in prison for the assault with intent to murder charge.
