Brighton purse, contents stolen from MSU pavilion
A red leather Brighton purse and its contents, valued at about $1,240, were reported stolen from the MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 25-year-old woman with no university affiliation reported the theft after leaving the purse and another bag at a table momentarily, McGlothian-Taylor said. When the victim arrived at her car, she realized she had the bag but not the purse, McGlothian-Taylor said. There was a large crowd in the area because a rodeo was taking place, McGlothian-Taylor said. The purse contained a red Brighton wallet, a $400 Canon PowerShot SD450 digital camera and $300 in gift cards, among other items, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects in the case, and it is still under investigation.
