The space used for the column Women should embrace sex life (SN 1/18), could have instead been used for making a valid point about the need for honest sexual dialogue, and for women to come to an understanding of both the physical and emotional aspects of sex. Instead it devolved into encouraging women to race to the bottom by flaunting their most tawdry actions.
Promiscuity is not something to be proud of. It’s a sign of a lack of the maturity and self-control necessary to make a relationship last more than a few hours. I find it poor logic that because some men choose to treat women like meat, women should do the same to them. All that does is give such men more excuses not to see women as humans. We’re all adults here at MSU, and it’s time that we started showing that we have the emotional maturity and self-control to deserve that label.
