Garden vandalized again

An unknown suspect spray-painted two benches, a trash can and a foot bridge along the river trail near Beal Botanical Garden last week, causing about $1,000 in damage, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 52-year-old male employee reported seeing blue spray paint applied to the objects with the word “Jackson” painted on the trash can and footbridge, McGlothian-Taylor said. The vandalization is the second such incident near Beal Botanical Garden this month. The incident is under investigation.
