Holiday ball to be held Saturday

November 15, 2007

The Michigan Historical Center Foundation will ring in the holidays with the 2007 Jingle Ball at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Michigan Historical Museum, located inside the Michigan Library and Historical Center, 702 W. Kalamazoo St., in Lansing.

For $100, individuals will be entertained by 1930s and ’40s jazz, a capella trio Expresso, singer Sierra Taylor, holiday carolers and bell ringers. A silent auction will be held for those looking to get an early start on holiday shopping and new for the 2007 gala will be an auction of unique, decorated holiday trees.

The holiday gala, co-hosted by Jane Aldrich of WLNS-TV and Kip Bohne of WSYM-TV, benefits the museum’s award-winning education programs that reach more than 80,000 Michigan students each year.
