A Lansing District Court judge ruled Thursday that the preliminary examination for Matthew Macon, who is a suspect in a series of Lansing murders dating back to July, will be open to media. Judge Patrick Cherry of Lansing’s 54A District Court denied the motion made by Macon’s attorney, Mike O’Briant. Macon is scheduled for a preliminary examination for two open murder charges, among others, on Tuesday and Wednesday. O’Briant said he expects more charges to be filed against Macon in the future,
