You now have officially messed with all of our long-standing traditions for all our football cheers.
Spartans, from the years before you went here, did the cheers the way they were passed down to them, and future generations honored those cheers and maintained the level of class and respect for them. But, I guess you do not like our traditions and thought it would be cool to use profane words that now will keep going for many more years and make the alumni and fans of this school, who have cheered for years, shake their heads and want to distance themselves from this program. And why? You messed with the traditions of this university!
Tradition is defined in the dictionary as a long-established or inherited way of thinking or acting. So, from what I have witnessed the past few years, we have no more tradition since your juvenile ways have changed what we all once did for many years.
But again, do what you want students, and make those cheers your own. Be forever known as the generation of Spartans that ruined our football tradition, ruined the spirit on why we come to Spartan Stadium and showed our character of being a classless program. Good job students, for that you should be proud you ruined what it means to be an MSU Spartan!
