Three high school students visiting for a summer camp had items stolen from their Akers Hall dorm room between Thursday-Saturday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.A $200 MP3 player and $60 was stolen from the three girls. The girls indicated the camp has about 55 students who don't know each other and their door was locked. However, one of the girls had her key stolen along with her iPod, which was attached to it, McGlothian-Taylor said.The fourth roommate didn't have any items taken, and there are no suspects, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 39-year-old woman, who was staying in West Holmes Hall for a convention, had about $1,050 of jewelry stolen between 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The bag contained a $500 Tiffany & Co. necklace and bracelet, $125 pair of earrings, $75 pair of hoop earrings, a miscellaneous bracelet and two necklaces valued at $150 and $100, McGlothian-Taylor said.The woman's suite mate left her door unlocked, allowing access into her room, McGlothian-Taylor said.Ashley A.
